chinesease ("we", "us", "our") operates Chinesease.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
When you create an account we collect:
We also collect anonymous usage data via Plausible Analytics, page views, country, device type. Plausible is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or track individuals.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. When you subscribe, Stripe notifies us and we update your account to Pro. Your billing is managed entirely by Stripe.
Some features use proprietary technology to generate audio and text responses. We do not store audio recordings of your voice. Speech recognition happens in your browser. Text submitted for writing evaluation or conversation is processed transiently and is not stored by us beyond the duration of your session.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Account data is stored on Supabase servers located in Canada. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@chinesease.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
We do not use tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage to save your session and study progress locally on your device. Plausible Analytics does not use cookies.
chinesease is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of Chinesease after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
